     Merry Kitmas!!

Shhhh - Mom and Dad are sound asleep (we spiked their eggnog) cause we three thought you should all know the truth, not just the normal Christmas letter stuff... blah blah blah, yada yada yada!  We wanted you to know what REALLY happened this past year! The impurrtant stuff is that we were well fed, got some kitty bags brought home from a restaurant or two, and did our best to make them spend all of their money on us!

We started off in January with some really really cold white stuff that is pretty unusual for us here along the Rogue River in Orry-gone.  It looked really pretty from inside but we were not interested at all in putting our paws in it!  Aaack - Not only was it cold, but it was wet too!!!  Thank goodness we don't have that very often! (Of course we live indoors only, but still....)  This time of year the best thing is sleeping, napping, and dozing.  We think bears have the right idea!

But really nothing much happened until springtime cause when you live in Orrygone, well ... nothing but repairing the damage that an unexpected hard freeze caused in the RV...  Dad still got up 3 days a week and left the house about 8:00 3 times a week before Mom got out of bed, and he came home an hour later.  Sometimes Mom was still asleep.  Don't let her tell you otherwise, cause we know the truth!  Dad says he was going to the gym, but we don't really know.  Furthermore, we don't care, as long as he comes home for our breakfast.

So anyways, we kept napping until all of a sudden the sun started to shine! Laying in the windows the sun would shine in on us and there were birds singing and squirrels playing!  Wow - it was worth waking up for!  Mom, though was busy oohing and awing over her stupid tulips!!  I mean REALLY can you understand this?  We are much better to "ooh and aw" over than some dumb flowers!

Finally we got to go on our first RV trip of the season!  We all love to go even though it is a small space.  Mom says she doesn't understand why we like to be cooped up in there.  Well, duh, we get lots of attention and are all close together, which means more ear scritches.  Plus there are the treats -- kitty bags from "trip food" is the best.  Anyway, it's not so small, see:

So we loaded up in April.  We brought along our beds, scratching posts, food (naturally), water fountain, leashes, "the box" (double naturally!) and.. what else .. did we mention food?  Anyway, I don't know what Mom and Dad brought -- probably not important anyhow!  We went to Chico to visit Randy, Cori, Kylie and Connor.  Mom has this thing for the little grandkids .. they're okay, but we're better!  Left from there and went to Healdsburg for Mom's 40th class reunion -- she is OLD (oops we'd better be quiet - don't want Mom to wake up and hear us say that!) But here's a picture of her class.

Oh, something Mom did the end of April that really is kind of important - she did her 3-mile walk for MS.  She is doing this every year, no matter the weather, no matter if she feels icky and would rather be in bed with us!  We think that must be pretty special because so many of you have sponsored her each year!  She will be doing the walk again this coming April, and I just know she'd like it if you were willing to sponsor her.  We even offered to sponsor her with catnip, but she said that the MS Society wouldn't take it. Their loss! http://tinyurl.com/2lge6z

AAACK -- We hear a noise -- gotta go check...
Whew that was close we almost got caught by Dad when we were here on the puter!  He went to the kitchen for a midnight coldbox raid... We had to hold down Tare, lunchmouth that he is.......

Okay.. safe to continue....

In June -- We were off again!  We want frequent RV traveler miles!  This time we went a long ways north to Seaside, Orrygone.  We thought we'd never get there! When we finally got there Dad parked us in one of nicest spots ever! It was worth the long drive though cause the smell of the ocean and the view of the pond were to die for!  Mom and Dad wanted to come here because of a muscle car show in downtown Seaside.  I don't get it -- what's so great about a bunch of old cars?  Now, other cats would have a lot more interesting!

Dad also got to do one of those "things you want to do before you die". This doesn't seem like much to me  but I guess I can relate.  There's this big redwood tree we'd love to go to the top of... we digress... there is a really tall column in Astoria - 125' tall with 167 steps up a spiral staircase to the top.   Before he had his knees done it was only a dream.  But he zoomed up to the top.  Mom, on the other hand was just happy to make it up, no matter how many times she had to stop and rest!

We got home from this trip just long enough to turn around and leave again!  Whats up with that?  At least we didn't go too far this time -- just to Crescent City where we met up with Randy, Cori, Kylie & Connor.  They like to go to the ocean over that noisy day in July.  Mom and Dad and them went to some parade.  No food that we'd like to eat so we don't care one bit. But we have to admit, those little humans of theirs are pretty fun to play with and they are nice to us and don't try to pull our tails or anything so it's okay.  And again, anytime we get to go to the ocean, it's okay with us.  Plus the best fish and chips (hold the chips) comes from here!

The last trip that we took was in September.  This time we headed up to Silverton which is near Salem.  Now this trip had some potential!  We were going there because there is a huge Oktoberfest that happens near there every year.  How come they have that in September?  Go figure... But you know what comes with Oktoberfest -- SAUSAGES! Yum!  We only got little tastes though cause some human decided that its not good for cats -  Harumph!  Mom and Dad had a lot of fun though plus Dad got to go play disc at some of his favorite courses and Mom got to go shopping at the big factory stores.

Oh, before we forget, we must  tell you -- look what Mom went and did?  She has been blond forever!  In fact we've never seen her any other way!  Take a look at this -- she went brown! Pretty different huh!   But she still smells like Mom, and that's what matters!

Thanksgiving was good with turkey! TURKEY, DID SOMEONE SAY TURKEY? Is there anything better? We just love it! Cori and family were up for there annual Turkey Day visit.  They have a fabulous motorhome so they can travel in comfort with the two little humans.  We think Daddy should buy us a great big motorhome like that so we would have more room, but he says he won't drive it.  Humans really can be stubborn!  And now, here it is, Kitmas time!  We've been really good cats, honest -- if you see Sandy Paws will you be sure to put in a good word for us?

Uh-oh, we hear Mom and Dad waking up -- Don't tell them we wrote this!  Mom thinks she has just normal stuff in here --- heehee

Have a very Meowy Kitmas and a Happy New Year!
